From Army Veteran to Gaming Entrepeneur 

After serving 10 years in the U.S. Army, I found myself facing an unexpected challenge—the military was downsizing, and I got caught in the wave. Suddenly, my career path was cut short, and I was scrambling to find my next step. I spent my days submitting applications and following up, determined to provide for my family. But everything changed one weekend, thanks to my wife and son.

That weekend, my wife took our son to a birthday party while I stayed home, working through a job application to the railroad. She returned and came in excited. Told me to stop what I was doing. “Come with me,” she said, “there’s something you need to see.” Intrigued, I followed her, not knowing my life was about to change.

When we arrived, I saw something incredible: a colorful trailer surrounded by kids, laughter, and excitement. Inside, they were playing video games in a way I’d never seen before. As someone who had loved video games my entire life, I was completely captivated. I looked at my wife with stars in my eyes and said, “This is amazing.”

She looked back at me and said something that took me by surprise: “I think we should get one.” Since the Army had shortened my contract, they gave me a modest severance package upon my exit. My wife saw this as the perfect opportunity to start something new. “Now my wife is telling me, a lifelong gamer, that we can buy a gaming trailer?” I thought. It was almost too good to be true.

From that moment on, I dove headfirst into research. I crunched numbers, analyzed costs, and looked at the potential of owning a mobile gaming business. Everything I found looked promising. This wasn’t just a dream; it was something we could turn into reality.
